“Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.” Mark 11:24
Please pray for Brenda Alguire as she prepares to lead us in worship at our kickoff!
Please also pray for one another as we prepare to minister to the women who come next week.
Hi gals ~ my mom and sister (with nieces) all live in Houston. They are awaiting word on whether or not the evacuation order will be given in anticipation of hurricane Ike hitting the coast.
Here is the weather link (for those of you like my father-in-law, who loves to read about weather elsewhere) http://www.weather.com/newscenter/hurricanecentral/2008/ike.html – please pray for safety for them and wisdom in where to travel if need be. THANKS! ~ Kim P.
Gals -please be in prayer for our May Campbell. She is in hospital awaiting results of tests… She has learned that she has cancer in her bowels and they are trying to determine course of action. We’ll keep you posted.
~Kim and the ME gals
Please continue to keep Lisa Chambers (EE Director) and her family in prayer as they grieve the loss of her Pop. May they know Jesus the Comforter during this time, -C.
Kim – would love to hear how your family in Texas is doing? Was in prayer every time I saw news footage….
Please conintue to pray earnestly for the women who are coming to Evening and Morning Edition. Satan is not loving this at all and he will be doing everything in these next days and weeks to discourage them from coming. God is doing amazing things here at Trinity and the enemy is trying desperatly to squash it all. Pray girls-PRAY!
Friends – my family is doing fine. My mom and sister are both teachers and they have many students still without power, out of homes etc. – but THANKFULLY both of their homes are okay and they are able to help others who are in need. THANKS for praying.
The woman at ME that fell on Thursday morning is doing fine – let’s pray she comes back and Satan doesn’t let that experience keep her from connecting with others. Also, May C. is healing in hospital probably until Tuesday (or so?) No word (yet) on the post-surgery test results. Keep praying please for our May.
Had a call from Marcella this morning and she is asking us leaders to pray for her and the residents in the building that she lives in. The are having some issues with the new land lord and feel that they, as seniors, are being taken advantage of. She asks that we pray for wisdom and unity amoungst all parties.
Just had an email from our May Campbell who is recovering from surgery. She asks us to pray urnestly as she is feeling quite uncomfortable and is not able to pass things as she needs to. She is feeling quite down and worried about this, so please continue to pray for May. Thanks!
Just heard that Alison Ng gave birth to a healthy baby boy! Please pray for Simon, Alison, Myranda, Kaitlin and baby Caleb as they get to know one another.
Just heard that our receptionist Amanda had a C sec early this morning and gave birth to a little girl. The babe is experiencing respiratory and breathing problems and is in intensive care. She may be sent to Vancouver. Please pray for Amanda, Patrick and this new baby girl for healing.
They are afraid and unsure right now. They have not been able to hold their new babe.
Update on Amanda’s baby girl. She has improved and they won’t be sending her to Vancouver. Continue to keep her in your prayers.
Alena Wells (Amanda and Patrick’s baby) is still in hospital, possibly til Friday. Amanda has been discharged. Pray for strength – not only for baby Alena but for Amanda and Patrick too. It is so hard to be home without Alena.
Prayer Request from Manetta Hohn who has been at part of ME for a long time and is facing heart surgery:
Greetings:
We received word last Thursday that I am booked for this at St. Paul’s Hospital, Vancouver, Monday Nov. 10.(This date is also Ed’s 80th Birthday!!) 😦 🙂
We are thankful that it is being done so quickly. I seem to be getting weaker as the days go by.
We appreciate your prayers as we travel to Vancouver (on winter mountain roads), surgery will be a success, and also that I will not be bumped. Daughter Glenda (a nurse) from Winnipeg is coming on Friday to be with us for two weeks. Then Sharlene will come for a while. So grateful and thankful for our caring children.
We appreciate you and your prayers for us. Thank You.
Manetta Hohn
Prayer Request from Erin Grimm:
‘Please pray for our marriage relationship. We have been struggling for months now and are tired of pretending everything is OK. Pray that God will speak into both of our lives so we can reconcile our differences.’
Erin:
I just wanted to encourage you and thank you for your transparency and honesty. I know that you probably don’t know me personally but I want you to know that I will be praying for you, your husband and your family. Thank you for not pretending may God bless you in your courage for walking in the light…His light.
Update on Manetta
Praise God that Manentta’s double bypass surgery went well!
Prayer Request from Marcella,
“Please pray for my right knee. I’m in extreme pain. Will have an x-ray Wed. Doc prescribed painkillers, but haven’t filled the prescription yet. The pain could be due to arthritis or swelling from banging the knee a couple weeks ago.”
Many thanks.
An update:
Marcella saw the doctor last Thursday. The results of the x-ray show that there is arthritis there and the blow to the knee made it worse. She is scheduled to see an orthopedic surgeon and has been prescribed medication for the pain. Please continue to pray for her.
Thanks.
